I go back in time and play one of the old classic games “Pokemon Ruby” of the R/S/E series.

I play as the character Danz (My nickname) as he experiences a long journey of becoming the Pokemon League Champion.

In Part 9, we complete the whole Dewford Gym in One video. I originally thought i would have to split the gym leader and the gym trainers itself into 2 vids but because of leftover time I could fit them into 1. We also catch another Pokemon for our roster.

Dewford Gym Leader: Brawly
Types the Leader uses: Fighting Recommended Types: Psychic & Flying

Machop @ Level 17 Fighting Type
Recommended Types to use: Psychic, Ghost & Flying
Moves:

-Bulk Up
-Leer
-Karate Chop
-Seismic Toss

Makuhita @ Level 18 Fighting Type
Recommended Types to use: Psychic, Ghost & Flying
Moves:

-Bulk Up
-Knock Off
-Arm Thrust
-Sand Attack

The battle itself looks rather hard because Makuhita will hit you VERY hard with 1 Bulk Up… I recommended Ghost type because Machop CANNOT hit you at all. If your playing Ruby you CAN’T get Sableye so they waste your time. For Sapphire: You CAN catch a Sableye and just send it out for Machop for an instant win. For Makuhita just hit it as much as you can but bear in mind, Makuhita can still use Knock Off + Bulk Up.

BUT you can get a Shedninja but then Shedninja is rather a pain to get. If you wish to have a easier time ruby player then you can try to get Shedninja.

How to get Shedinja:

1) Catch a Nincada on route 116
2) Raise it to level 20
3)Let it Evolve into a Ninjask and get good moves for later on.
IMPORTANT NOTE: When Evolving Ninjask Make sure you have ONE SLOT OPEN. Teach you moves accordingly to Ninjask.
4)When you have taught the moves to the newly evolved Ninjask (It learns moves after its evolution) There will be a pokemon filling the open spot of your team.
5)You should get Shedinja after these steps so you have both a Ghost and a Flying pokemon for Brawly.

Shedinja: It has 1HP and Its Wonder Guard ability means it can only be hit by the following cases.

Weather: Hail or Sandstorm
Status: Poison Or Confusion
Super Effective Hit: Fire,Dark,Ghost,Rock

I decided to make the intro shorter since it was unnecissarily long before – and I think you will agree. This is much better anyway to be honest.

The third gym in Hoenn. It is electric type, so obviously I do not reccomend you use a water type unless it is Mudkip. Enjoy.
