Music,Drawings copyright Lil Nice Wolf August 21 2009.Again this had got tweets on http://twitter.com/LilNiceWolf .Okay,I try to explain how I got the idea and made this video.As usual,I got the idea for the music when relief came after moments of strain,anger and pressure.I was in the beginning of a long bike tour to a beach on an island through a ferry when it came up that I had forgotten the food.I got off and almost returned and went home but I didnt want to lose time on this beautiful sunny day.As a solution I decided to live and eat of what nature has to offer like berries,fruit and vegetables,I knew where to find apples and blackberries.Still angry,I bicycled further the road disappointed not to have my white bread,cheese and sandwiches.Soon after some heavy thigh leg muscle pedal exercise giving high velocity and speed the temper changed and I got into a better mood and felt pleasure.About then,the music started to play.First came one half or eight 8 bars or measures without any effort.I tried my best to keep the song in my head because I had lost new material several times before.A bit later the second part showed which was even better.Brain experiments by changing some notes for variation caused wrong mix between the versions.Finally I settled and worked by using repeated drill to memorize the piece.On the way to the harbour,I choose to skip the bathing an favor of picking something to eat and be back to work with enter the data to the composer software program.The last step in the hike was to fill a bottle full with delicious tasty sweet flavour berries growing on creeper making thicket looking like bushes and having sharp thorns or spikes which I always get all over my body skin but mostly on the hands and fingers.It was afternoon and having been out for about five 5 hours without any meal at all since yesterday,I was rather hungry and took several good over ripe species,just a little sour with tast of banana,coke cola and menthol which was a surprise.Now the big failure happens.Feeling well in the belly and somewhat dizzy and tired,I totally forgot to think of the newly conceived masterpiece.The latter segment came but the beginning was impossible to recreate.I was sad and hoped to recover after coming to the flat,drinking coffee and rest.At the computer,I input the left waiting for the missing to come and was able to produce an acceptable but not the original output.Along came a vision of two characters wow and meow the lyrics.I had that old idea before but with a simple tune not worth to publish.The next morning it was time to create the film.I took my sketch pad or drawing book and went to the top of a hill in windy but sunny weather.Since before,I had already drawings of grown ups but I wanted a puppy or small dog.Spending an 1 hour or 2 two drawing,I finally got an acceptable cutie by decreasing the nose of an adult example while simultaneously increasing the eye size to make it look like a human baby or kid.The webcam came handy to transfer the stuff to the hard drive as images.I used the creative suite and snapshot feature.Not well in focus the pictures got blurry but that doesnt matter for me.It had manual sharp adjustment ring and no auto driven by micro mechanic and infrared light or similar technique.The goal was to trace the graphite lines and curves in the animation gear I am familiar with.Every view had to complete the contest of being appealing,attractive,clear and beautiful.I ended up with just what I wanted and put the other in the trash can.The jaw should be moving so I extended to four 4 templates by separating the upper and lower.A couple of minutes and I was satisfied,the furry pair could sing and speak by tweening motion like in adobe cs.At the end of the second day,I had a finished beta worth of viewing but too short both in audio and visual length.Neither I was happy with the musical instrument ending.Further achievements arte left for the third 3 day which is today.So far the score consists of Grand Piano,Barking Voice,Strings for chords,whistle and electric piano with 60s style.Off course there are a percussion track of acoustic snare,tom and bass drum with hi hat,crash and ride cymbals.All is sampled with big eight 8 mb megabyte wave memory using some yamaha xg sounds and standard general midi.There was an urgent need for an ending so I did that by copy more than once and adjusting tone height and duration.This double length complete staff multiple part needs parallel mouth moves by the singer so some extra work was added to the existing swf format clip.I intend to use closed captions subtitles for the words still a brain creation.I hope turn some of the viewers to smile or laugh but the main purpose is to give entertainment by listening.Its nothing to brag about but the minimal animated effects is appropriate or adequate to this context.The logo was empty but fixed to usual type just seconds ago.Leave questions in the comments box,I answer in a reply.

Some of you know we have a 12-year old daughter who we lovingly call “the Monster.” Well, over the last few years our little monster has decided that her sport of choice is cheerleading. She’s not picky, she loves yelling for the boys at football games as much as she loves competitive cheerleading. Last summer she took it into her heart to try out for a squad which has fielded huge championship teams for several years. However, this year many of the cheerleaders moved on to school teams or other gyms for a variety of reasons, and the squad she joined only had 13 girls. We called them PCB’s Lucky 13. They had a great season, really bonding and becoming a true “team” along the way.

On Saturday this great group of girls had their last competition of the season in Gainesville. They went in strong and made us incredibly proud with an almost perfect performance. They placed first in their division (Youth Level 2), but what REALLY knocked our socks off was the announcement that they were Grand Champions for the entire competition. For those of you not familiar with competitive cheerleading, this means, across the board they had the highest score of any competing team. We knew they were wonderful, but after a long, sometimes hard season, the fact they were finally getting the recognition they deserved from the judges, well, let’s just say, there were some tears…

I guess it helps to have parents who do what we do for a living because we did our best to document the season for the girls and their families. Yesterday they had the end of year banquet for Elite and we showed this highlight video we put together. I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed working on it. We know that this is an end of an era for many of these girls, 10 of the 13 will be trying out for the junior high squad this week. We wish you all luck and hope you get the chance to continue to be the strong, supportive team you became this year at Surfside!

Fierce All Stars began in the spring of 2004 with the goal of competing amongst the top all star programs worldwide, with superiority and success. Fierce All Stars started when good friends, and current co-owners Brittany Dill and Shelby Magelsen decided to start their dream – A dream that started with 36 girls in a local Rancho Cucamonga park to form a jaw-dropping large senior 5 all-girl team! Even though our beginnings were small, our successes are BIG! With 6 seasons under its belt, Fierce is now opening its doors to it’s 7th season with 13 national championship competitive all star cheerleading teams throughout Southern California – with locations in Rancho Cucamonga, Signal Hill (Long Beach), and our newest location in the High Desert. While we may not be the largest program in the country, our focus is on continuing to be the MOST FIERCE.
