Good Exercise Routine for a 16 Year Old Girl?
hey. i’m 16 years old, about 5′1” and around 146 pounds. i’m going to start eating healthier (south beach phase 1), but i don’t know what to do for my workout. i have access to a treadmill, elliptical, stair climber-ish thing, bowflex, free weights, and when the weather gets a little warmer i can also walk or ride my bike around the neighborhood.
so yeah…what kinds of exercises should i do? how long should my workouts last? how many days per week?
thanks in advance. you are loved.

one word
RUN (paced jog)
6 days a week, 30 minutes per day
tread mills are hard on the knees, but if your only at 146 to start that shouldent bother too much.

From what you have told be you can choose a couple of different training programs.
The first is a circuit program this means using the equipment you listed for 45 seconds each at a high intensity and repeating it for as many times you think you can. After a while of completing the circuit you can try and do each exercise for a bit longer.
The second training program you could try is continuous training this means riding, walking or running around your neighborhood for a continuous amount of time you should try 20 minutes to start with and then the next time you should try 30 minutes.
You should be doing a training at least 3 times a week and each training session should last for around 30 minutes this includes a warm up and cool down and stretches.
