I’m 17, about 6ft tall and weigh about 184lbs. I’m quite muscular since I work out a lot, and I dont have that much body fat but I have a bit of a tummy I’d like to get rid of. I do a lot of ab workouts so my abs are strong, I can feel them, but there’s a bit of fat covering the middle and lower abs (basically I only really have a four pack at the moment)
I do cardio (swimming) three times each week, and lift weights four times each week. I’ve completely cut out any bad foods or drinks, no fast food, soda, alcohol, chocolate etc. and I’m eating smaller portions. I try my best to stay away from fat, and I only eat carbs at lunch and breakfast (with protein and fruit/vegetables throughout the day). Luckily I’m mesomorphic and already in good shape, but I really want to lose that bit of stomach fat in time for beach season. I’m sticking to a good ab workout too, with plenty of variety, and I drink around 3-5 litres of water each day
Any thoughts/ideas?
Seems like you’re doing the right thing. Everyone has a place which carries a little bit of extra weight; yours must be your stomach. One of the most important things to do when losing weight is NEVER skip breakfast and try to not snack throughout the day. You could also have an under-active thyroid but I highly doubt it. If you are still having trouble losing weight in a few months, consult your doctor or even a nutritionist.
Good luck!

Yeah i know, summer’s coming up and everyone wants to look good on the beach. I think im pretty much set other then my arms, right now my arms are 14′, this isnt good enough in my opinion. If im on creatine and i do arm workouts 3 times a week (mostly working the tricep and brachialis muscles) how long would it take to add 2 inches? Thanks alot.
If you’re looking to gain mass and size on arms when training at home:
4x 6-10 reps of biceps curls (heavy)
4x 20 weighted pushups (do a vairety of where your hands should be, close together for triceps, wide for pecs, normal for biceps etc.)
4x 10-20 weighted dips
Also look at this video for bicep peak: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ohZx7cit84
Good luck mate
NO PAIN NO GAIN! BODYBUILDER PRIDE FOREVER! TRAIN FUCKING HARDCORE!

Okay, I am not looking for something particuarly long lasting. I just need the quickest way to lose some weight off of my stomach. I have a photo shoot at the beach that I just found out about a couple days ago. I have a bit of a winter tummy left over and I need to drop as much tummy fat as quickly as possible. Now I am completely aware that there is no way to work out one area of your body nd have noticable results there and that it is as a result of an overall workout. My question is what is the FASTEST way to drop fat overall in two weeks. Thighs are also a bit thicker than would be preferable. So whatever you can suggest to help me out. I have a pretty good metabolism and can lose weight fairly quickly. I am wondering if there is anything that can make it go a little faster. I do bicycle "crunches" or whatever and focus on my abs and butt with those… I do 15 to 20 minutes of pop style dancing every day as well and some DDR on "Standard/Difficult" for those who know about DDR.
use a slimming tea, it has powerful antioxidants that will give you a noticeably flatter tummy in a matter of less than a week if you take the tea with every meal. this tea really speeds you metabolism so know where the restrooms are. Jump rope for ten minutes, you might get achy so don’t be so hard on yourself by going really fast and not stopping for seconds or so every ONCE IN A WHILE. You already are getting fit with your exercise and the advice i have given you combined could give you a flat stomach maybe a bit of jessica alba abs in LESS THAN 2 WEEKS. IT WORKS!

Does it work? What kind of foods do you eat? Do you have to by any special foods? How long is the average workout on the South Beach Diet?
Actually it’s one of the best ones out there. It works completely with your body and helps to change a person’s eating habits and ‘detox’ from many of the chemicals in junk food.
The bad thing about it is that it is not really a diet at all. It is a lifestyle change. You have to keep it for the rest of your life in order to actually seen any results. It’s not something that you do for a few months and then quit.
It’s main factor is the glycemic index. This means that foods are "ranked" by their nutritional properties. Therefore, if followed correctly then overall health improves because your body will finallly receive every nutrient (most, if not all never come close with the average diet). So, weight loss is not the only factor involved. Also, it takes awhile for your body to really adjust and maintain healthy levels of fat, muscle, water, and nutrients.
There is no junk food and nothing like "low-carb" special foods that someone can’t find in an average grocery store. Instead, you get a lot of whole grains, healthy fats like olive oil, and a lot of vegetables.
Another setback is that you must prepare your own meals a majority of the time and it’s a little time-consuming because a lot of things are carefully mapped out.
For this reason, it is not at all a good idea to just assume that something is okay to eat or not. You really do have to buy the book or at least visit their official website in order to get all the correct information.
Exercise is definitely encouraged but there’s nothing extreme about it. Actually, vigorous workouts are discouraged. Instead a brisk walk for 30 minutes a day is ideal.

I want some GREAT ab workouts
I have a good shape–just want to tone up.
So women share your secrets
I’m a man, but to my knowledge there are no secrets. All I know for sure is that if you are already in good shape you must make your ab work and all your other workouts more difficult to make additional progress. Just increasing the number of reps won’t do it. I got the best result after I started doing weighted crunches on the incline board heavy enough that I could only get five reps for each set.

I’m 18 years old, 5 feet 6 inches, and 135 lbs. I have been trying to gain weight in the form of muscle for a long time because I am too skinny. I was looking into getting the getinsanity workout but before spending all that money, I would like to know if it would help me get a bigger toned body. I recognize that I will have to up my protein intake so throughout the workout, I plan on using whey protein and protein bars, as well as eating foods rich in protein. Will this help me get the beach body i want? And if not, are there other workouts that will help me?
Thank you
The GetInsanity workout will get you in shape fast!! It is a killer program that keeps your workouts short and to the point. You are correct, eat plenty of whole food protein food sources as well as a high quality chemical free whey product minus the fillers and additives.

Last week I did a really good workout. I hadn’t workout in a really long time so I was exhausted afterward. I went to a football stadium nearby where I lived and ran up and down the stairs of the stadium twice. My leggs were SO sore afterward but it kind of felt good at the same time.
I want to do more cool workouts like that. So I can ge out of the gym and workout out doors. Do yall have any ideas…???
Is walking on the beach a good wokout?
Beach walking, esp. through water about 10" for more resistance, biking, sideways skipping, rope jumping, hula hooping, and, of course, more stairs.

Outside workouts are primarily cardiovascular oriented, so it would be best to stick with that line. Cycling and running outdoors, have such an edge over doing such exercises indoors, as environment can play a big factor in morale when exercising. Therefore it would be beneficial if you looked into a few trail/bush activities, such as hiking, trail riding and mountaineering.
You could always stick it out on roads, however this often gets tiresome for many individuals, and some join clubs to bring that interaction factor into the equation – something you might want to look into.
Swimming, whether at a beach, or local pool facility; is a popular choice for outside workouts, due to the full body workout and relaxed nature.
Strength training, however, isn’t out of the question, and you can always grab an exercise mat, to do some crunches outside on a flat area. Or even bring some dumbbells outside, to soak up the sun!
I hope this helps.

hey y’all! so school starts on September 1st, a little less than 2 weeks away. right now i weigh about 143 pounds, i’m 5′2” and 16 years old. i’d like to lose some weight before school starts, or at least tone up. all of the weight i gain goes to my stomach and thighs.
so how can i lose some weight, maybe like 10 pounds or so, in a couple weeks? would i lose weight if i went on something like South Beach Phase 1, but still ate some fruit too? just no breads and sugars and stuff.
and what are some good exercises to tone my abs, butt, and thighs? i have a treadmill, elliptical, stair step machine, bowflex and free weights…what should i do? a workout plan would be very helpful…i have plenty of free time, so i can workout for as long as needed. and i also have band camp all next week, so i’ll be marching for like 3 or 4 hours a day…
thanks in advance. all answer are appreciated. y’all are loved.
Hey, running is a great way to burn the pounds especially along with any kind of diet. A difference in 3500 calories means a loss of a pound. So if you burn 250 more calories than usual and eat 250 less in a week you will lose a pound. Also toning exercises for stomach obviously do some crunches and bicycle crunches. For thighs and stomach the running will also help greatly in toning them. If you wish to tone your arms using the free weights to do crunches and bench press lifts would help. Also push ups are said to do a lot for toning
