The ” Standing Biceps Concentration Curl” Exercise is a great exercise. It is an awesome functional, athletic movement for you athletes. The fact that you can not go fast with this movement allows more focus, squeeze, and isolation on the biceps. Don’t forget to push
your upper arm & elbow down through the floor (aim for your big toe) while you squeeze water out of a sponge. Remember, you will work the target muscle better by looking at it
and going slow (a 3-1-3 tempo).

I started doing these types of movements back in 1983. Basic, compound, power-movements for football. We were taught the big 3, squats, dead lift’s, and hang-clean’s.

6-pack Abs by July 4th!

Its not too late, you can still get 6-pack abs in time for beach weather this summer! Getting 6-pack abs is quite simple but requires a lot of hard work and dedication. Two things you need to do to get 6-pack abs. The first is to do ab exercises but that isnt as important as you might think. The second, and most important thing you need to do to get 6-pack abs is to lose weight.

Lets quickly cover the losing weight part. Remember, this is the most important thing to get 6-pack abs. To lose weight you need to eat less and do more cardio. I have lots of videos on nutrition and weight loss, you can view them by clicking here:

A valuable tool in helping you lose weight is a free iPod touch/iPhone application called “Lose It!” by FitNow If you are not good at reading nutritional labels or good with numbers then this application will really help you lose your weight on schedule. This application lets you enter your current weight, your target weight, and how strict you are willing to be with your diet. You then enter how much cardio you do and it gives you a daily calorie allocation. You then can enter everything you eat and make sure that you keep on track for your weight loss goal.

Now lets talk about the ab exercises. Here is a good little workout that takes less than 10 minutes and I would do it 3 times a week.

crunch, as many as you can do
bicycle, as many as you can do
hanging leg raise, as many as you can do
rest and redo 3x

Thats it. As I said, getting 6-pack abs is quite simple but takes a lot of hard work especially because of the cardio and strict nutrition required. The cool thing is that by losing weight you can make a rapid and amazing body transformation! Adding muscle takes years to have a noticable effect but by getting 6-pack abs you can go from invisible to show-stopper in a handfull of weeks!
